Rising 775 feet (236 m) above the Falls, the Skylon Tower is the tallest viewpoint in Niagara and the one landmark you’ll see from almost everywhere in town. Its famous yellow “bug” elevators glide up the outside of the tower in under a minute — and at the top you get a 360° view of all three waterfalls, the Niagara River, and on clear days the Toronto skyline.

- Clear mornings — best visibility for long views and the fewest people.
- Sunset — the most beautiful light, but the busiest slot.
- After dark — the Falls illumination looks amazing from above. Check the fireworks schedule.
- Avoid foggy or low-cloud days — you may see nothing but white.
How Long Does It Take?
Plan 30–60 minutes for the observation deck, or 1.5–2 hours with dinner. Summer elevator queues can add 15–30 minutes around sunset.

Verdict: Is the Skylon Tower Worth It?
Yes — especially on a clear day or with the Day & Night Pass. It’s the only place you can see the whole Falls system at once, and at under $20 it’s one of the cheaper paid attractions. Skip it only if it’s foggy, or if you’re already eating in the Revolving Dining Room (deck included).
